Angel Food Ministries' mission is to help relieve hunger throughout the United States.

Angel Food Ministries, a non-profit, non-denominational organization, began in 1994 as a small outreach ministry serving a rural community in Georgia. The goal was to help neighbors who needed a hand up in a tough economic time. Today, Angel Food Ministries can be found in over 3,500 communities in 40 states and helps feed over 500,000 families each month.
Angel Food is available in a quantity that can fit into a medium-sized box at $31.00 per regular box. Each month's menu is different than the previous month and consists of both fresh and frozen items with an average retail value of approximately $60. Comparison shopping has been done across the country in various communities using a wide range of retail grocery stores and has resulted in the same food items costing from between $42 and $78.
Generally, one regular box of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month. The food is all the same high quality one could purchase at a grocery store. There are no second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe. Also, offered are specialty boxes such as steaks, chicken and pork.
Angel Food Ministries began in Lincoln, Nebraska at Lincoln City Church in June of 2007. There are 3 Distribution Sites currently in Lincoln, CrossBridge Christian Church, Lincoln City Church at and Quinn Chapel AME. Lincoln's Angel Food Host Sites are currently serving 1000 families in Lincoln and surrounding towns. Other towns in Nebraska with Angel Food Host Sites are Arlington, Seward (NEW), Nebraska City, Auburn, Bellevue and Omaha. This is for anybody and everybody, there are NO Qualifications, NO Applications, NO Income Guidelines and NO Limit in Quantities Ordered.
Angel Food partners with churches and community organizations throughout the country to help distribute food to those in need. For $31.00 you can receive a box of food containing both fresh and frozen items. Our food items are first quality -- Angel Food Ministries in Monroe, Georgia buys our food from major food producers throughout the country to ensure the best food comes to your table.

EXCITING NEWS from Monroe, Georgia September 2008 — Record-Breaking Month!
By: Pastor Joe Wingo Dear AFM Family, I just want to take a moment to brag on God and you! Let me begin by telling you that we had a total of 571,782 orders this month, exceeding any previous AFM distribution record. I know that having a record-breaking month in orders also means a record-breaking effort by all of our volunteers and participants! Thank you for doing a stellar job and helping us meet the ever-increasing national demands for food relief. When the tasks before us seem impossible and overwhelming, we remember that God is a master at doing the impossible! I like the way missionary Hudson Taylor put it, “...there are three stages in every great work of God; first, it is impossible, then it is difficult, then it is done.” Thank God “all things are possible” in Him, and He steadily helps us overcome day-to-day challenges to get the job done. Just thinking about all the impossible things God has done for AFM makes me want to shout! I pray you feel the same way and you’ll join me in thanking Him for the privilege of demonstrating His love and goodness to millions of people through Angel Food.
